Divisions

All teams limited to players as indicated on their rosters submitted prior to the Tournament. All US based Players and Coaches must be USA Rugby registered and players must sign a waiver. Foreign based teams must comply with their home union eligibility requirements and sign a waiver. Players may only play for one team in one Division (exception - a designated 13th player in the Elite and Premier Divisions may also play in a less competitive Division if rostered prior to play) All teams limited to players as indicated on their rosters submitted prior to the Tournament. Men’s & Women’s Elite Division – Friday & Saturday February 24 & 25, Dignity Health Sports Park

  • Two day event (Friday & Saturday) with all teams playing 4 to 6 matches.
  • Elite level Referees and ARs provided.
  • Best pitches and facilities in the LAI.
  • Highly intense, competitive, national and select teams. Players must be over 18 years.
  • Teams limited to 13 players on the roster (but may only use 12 in a match, 5 subs).
  • Full Matching Kit required - Jersey, Shorts, Socks.
  • The finals of the Men’s and Women’s Elite Divisions play in the stadium on Saturday!
  • Elite applications reviewed prior to acceptance and may be directed to a lower Division.
  • Entry fee US $600


Men’s Premier Division – Friday & Saturday February 24 & 25, Dignity Health Sports Park

  • Two day event (Friday & Saturday) with all teams playing 4 to 6 matches.
  • Premier level Referees and ARs provided.
  • Intense, competitive, US regional and international teams. Players must be over 18 years.
  • Teams limited to 13 players on the roster (but may only use 12 in a match, 5subs).
  • Full Matching Kit requested, Full Matching Jerseys required.
  • Premier applications reviewed prior to acceptance and may be directed to a lower Division.
  • Entry fee US $400


Men’s & Women’s Club Division – Saturday February 25, Dignity Health Sports Park

  • One day event (Saturday only) with all teams playing 4 matches.
  • Club 7s Referees provided with ARs supplied by the participating teams.
  • Least intense, Open, Division. Players must be over 18 years old.
  • Teams limited to 15 players on the roster (but may only use 12 in a match, 5 subs).
  • Matching Jerseys requested.
  • Teams will be accepted on first paid basis, maximum 16 teams per Division.
  • Entry fee US $300

Collegiate Divisions – Saturday February 25 – Dignity Health Sports Park

  • To be co-hosted and managed by our partners.
  • Collegiate Divisions are Open divisions on local fields in the South Bay area within 20 minutes of the stadium (exact locations TBD), maximum 12 teams per Division (12 men, 12 women for College divisions = total 24 teams).
  • Entry Fee US $300


High School Open Divisions – Friday & Saturday February 24 & 25 – Fields TBA

  • To be co-hosted and managed by our partners.
  • High School Divisions are Open divisions on local fields in the South Bay area within 20 minutes of the stadium (exact locations TBD), maximum 12 teams per Division (12 boys, 12 girls for High School = total 24 teams).
  • Entry Fee US $300


Youth Rugby Jamboree – Sunday, February 26 ONLY – Dignity Health Sports Park

  • Youth teams in the following divisions (U8, U10, U12) can enter to play 3 matches in their respective age level in a celebration of youth rugby. 
  • Matches will be held on site at Dignity Health Sports Park.
  • Teams are welcomed to a Youth Team “Parade of Rugby” where participating teams will take a lap around the stadium in their team jerseys in between international matches on Sunday afternoon in the Dignity Health Sports Park Stadium!
  • Entry fee US $100
